A, B and C?

We went to the 10u western B nationals in 2005 and 2006.
bridesmaids/runners up both years...
The teams from Texas told us back then that they petitioned their area commisioners to classify them as either A or B.
So there were travel teams that were in our B tournament.
They have since divided up the areas into more regional finals like west, east, north, and south.
I think back then it was just west and east.

A teams should be any tryout team without boundries(such as a town) or a good tryout team with boundries. A B team is a tryout team with boundries or really "good" rec team or even an allstar team. C teams should be be rec teams only. Really if any above is playing a lower level then that, they are trophy hunting

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter much whether you call yourself, A, B, C, Gold, etc.
Coaches job is to find the "right" level of competition for the team. You don't want to win by 30 and you don't want to lose by 30 - does neither team any good.
Find the right games to play competitively and then raise the bar from there.
