Did the coaching help the other two pitcher Victory had? Remember the Punishers had big bats too.

Last year's 12u Nationals: Old News, though it looks like a good crop of '98 pitchers entering 14u. Who are the 99 and 00 pitchers that are going to be top dogs in 12u for 2012?

Here's my point... A bunch of naysayers didn't expect CA98 to do squat at Nats due to going in there with no "ACE" pitcher! Coming home with a top 10 finish the 3 girls still get no respect! That sucks! Those 3 kids deserve their props!!!

hmmm....if we we're to list beyond the best in montgomery (four or five mentioned above, that is)...I would add the tricounty smash, homer hawks and rawlings pitchers we faced...they did a great number on us until we finally scored in later innings...

Other than that I agree on BB Briggs and BB 98 pitcher...very good showing.

Lets not forget the catchers, so under appreciated for their work in their gear under horrific heat ...they did a great job too. ( No my DD is not a catcher)

I agree with you to 110% on the catchers access, we lost ours due to heat exhaustion in our final game against TPS and hurt us big time! She was our lead off batter too!

See, there you go again overreacting and putting words in my mouth. I specifically said they were probably good pitchers. I did not dismiss their hard work nor their achievements. But, there is a difference between being a good pitcher for your age and being classified as one of the best.
Pitchers that can go most games with no or 1 run given up. Pitchers that pitch consistently throughout the whole week, including still being able to get it done on Sunday, these are the things I would use to classify someone as the best in their age group.

I understand and am not trying to overreach or put words in your mouth. It just bothered me that you had to try to make an argument out of something these young did that was so positive when it counted. The thread is the best pitchers at ASA in Montgomery. Nobody expected these girls to step up and play their BEST Softball at the end of the year and they did! I think they all deserve to be recognized for it being that this is what the thread is about. And that's ALL I have left to say about that!!!
