It had been gripped poorly originally, and as a result the grip was folding over in spots and generally getting torn to hell.
So they ask me where I bought it and if I have a receipt. I didn't, as I had been told that they would regrip without one (and I probably couldn't have found it in any event).
Well they take my bat back in the warehouse, and a few minutes later the guy (didn't get his name) comes back and tells me the bat is probably bad, because it's not making the right sound when you tap the knob on the ground. He proceeds to demonstrate the desired sound by tapping a new bat on the ground. Then he...gives me the new bat!
Then to top it off, the gal (didn't get her name) at the front desk recommended a fantastic Mexican restaurant nearby, and I had one of the best lunches I've eaten in years.
I understand that Anderson is merely protecting its product image by replacing bad bats, but I don't care...that's damn good customer service right there!
...well now you know where to go if your lesbian friend ever decides she'll have lunch with you again.
