Eight Men Out
The Rookie

Don't forget-

Rookie of the Year (Hey Gardenhosen!)
Angels in the Outfield (HA) As an Angel fan, that one hurts a little.

What is the name of the newer one with Jimmy Fallon? Is that any good?

Not baseball, but basketball. Believe In Me. I put it in the DVD player and zoomed through my treadmill workout.

Woman's basketball and their young male coach's struggles in the early 60s.

There is a new Softball Fastpitch movie coming out, that is currently in pre-production in Louisiana called STATE. Not sure of the release date, but here is the link:

The Fallon movie is Fever Pitch. There's a movie about a Russian baseball team entitled 'The Comrades of Summer' .Some are down right horrible--The Slugger's Wife and Sandlot II come to mind.

VV03, I heard about that and can't wait to see it, especially since I'm a former Marine and now "thrust into the fastpitch world" (in the trailer) by my DD!

It's not exactly a movie, but a Japanese anime (cartoon, but not for little kiddies) tv series, Princess Nine is a 26-episode series (you can see them all on 4 DVDs) about a high school girls' baseball team that competes with the best boys' teams in Japan. The mannerisms of Japanese culture within the series are kind of cool, and even though the series is a tad slow in introducing the characters, once this girls' team is formed, the show becomes addictive. It's pleasantly surprising, between some good baseball strategy written into the games, and, of course, every gal player on the team has her own high school drama going on. If you've got ball-playing daughters, hunt Princess Nine down and watch this series with them. GOOD STUFF 8-) :) ;) :D
