It was a good game, Nevins did a nice job pitching and then Moore finished it....NICE!

Question: Why do they immediately ice wrap Nevins arm after pitching?

These kids can't throw that many innings at this level since they were overused when they were younger.

It's fairly common for baseball pitchers to do some light cardio (e.g. run) after pitching to flush the lactic acid out of their arm and shoulder before they ice. Has anyone seen softball pitchers do it?

I know a pitching coach that has them throw overhand a little while...light calisthenics etc...sort of a cool down thing

My kid used to have to do some light cardio afterward. Once I stopped coaching her, that pretty much ended.

Jenny Finch had a post game routine that served the same purpose. Many MLBers will hit the bike afterward for a light cardio cool down before icing.
