Can you dye bat bags?

I have a question. Someone gave us bat bags but they are the wrong color. Can they be dyed? Is there a place I could take them to that would dye them for me, like they do shoes? I have no crafting skills so I'm afraid to try to do it myself so any suggestions would be helpful. I hate to see the bags go to waste.

Honestly I have no experience or even interest in learning if bags can be dyed, but I'd assume with the right materials and the right process, the answer is yes. However could the common man/woman do so?? My guess is no....I think the material is pre-colored before the bag is created. That said, I have probably 5 different colored bags in my basement...finally went out and bought a black bag. Not buying another bag til that one disintegrates. Seriously, who looks at the bags? Who cares what colors they are? Just go with it Michelle!!

If you dont want them to go to waste, donate them to your local rec league. There are always families who needs scholarships to be able to have their kid play and would appreciate the bag.

It's funny that you suggested that I donate them. I offered them to two different softball rec leagues(20 bags) and they both were very polite but said no thank you. My husband suggested I call the local baseball little leagues. The bags are in great shape. I'm starting to get a complex, maybe it's me and not the bags lol.

Next stop I guess is Goodwill, if they say no then it really is me

I once used this stuff to paint over a graphic on a golf bag I won in a golf tournament. It's holding up fine. I used the black spray color.

Many schools in low income areas would love any older(but good) equiptment. recentlt several HS coaches in our area made a collection for some of the less fortunate school districts in the area. The girls were happy to give(parents were happy for the extra space) and these programs were happy for the help

Dugoutdad, thank you for the tip! I really appreciate it. Jonriv, I think your right. I'm going to try another area. There has to be leagues with kids in need out there. I just have to look harder.
