As a die hard fan who is very excited the Lake show won yet another championship. I would like people to stop saying these are Laker fans doing this. It is without a doubt just idiots on the street looking for a reason to act a fool. And yes this happens all over the country when teams win championships. Maybe not in some of your citys but remember you have to actually win something worth a damn to celebrate over. And as much of a softball advicate as I am you cant compare the two when it comes to national attention. LAKERS IN 5!!!!!! Nice!!!

over $500,000 in real estate property damage.

5 business looted. Cost $424,600.

City placed on tac alert. Cost $280,000.

Cost of prosecuting and jailing the 12 people arrested, one was female. $30,000.

Laker's reported 2008 income. $320,000,000.

Now the City of Los Angeles is holding a Laker victory parade on Wednesday. Cost $2,000,000. With the Laker organization only paying half of the cost.

This while putting civilian employees on furlough days and proposing laying off police and fire due to the economy. The feel good democrats of Los Angeles have officially lost their minds. If the Lakers want a parade, then they should pay the costs for it, not the tax payers.

When the Angels won, did the parade get funded by the tax payers? Hell no!!!! The Angels paid the entire costs. That is the difference in a nutshell between the Democrats and Republicans. Republicans use logic and common sense. Democrats just do it if it feels right.

P.S. While the crowd was mostly Hispanic, there were representatives of all races involved.
