Wouldn't the blotchy spots in the clear coat consititute an "altered" bat and be removable on that basis??

I would suggest if anyone bring a Clarity that is changing colors indicating it is no longer meeting ASA specs and is exceeding 98 mph and you are going to risk injuring another player with that bat and surely your own liability by knowingly using that bat despite manufacturer recommendations and would enjoy answering those questions if posed by an attorney wanting to take your home, you bring a replacement just in case it does get yanked.

I imagine it wont be long before ASA rules catch up with the technology involved in the clarity. Many equpment rules are based on mfg recommendations. At this time, the rules are not there, so I guess its on the user/users parents .

I'de like to hear from you Easton bat owners out there. Are any of you seeing the first signs of trouble? If so, how old are your bats?

Two players on my DD's team have them and one of the bats (about 5months old) has two spots on it. They do look a little cloudy, but I can't tell if this is just normal...as this might be just the finish getting scraped up?

Is it really noticable when one of these bats goes bad?

That cloudy look is exactly what it looks like when you "excessively use or tamper" with the Clarity's or Reveal's. It's not an obvious color change, you should see different shades of the original color. According to Easton, the bat is telling everyone it is exceeding 98 mph and therefore, illegal.

Such a shame they did this to some great bats. Just tell your kid to "wave em like you just don't care". Wade can't see that or the splintering if the bat head is constantly moving.

Just buy 07, 06, & 05 bats. My DD's bats didnt really mature for about 5 to 6 months. The Catalyst (Baby Blue) & Stealth (Light Grey) are still going stong. A little wear & tear but they still do the job. I did notice that the Rocketech's paint chips pretty badly. Will these be removed?
