Hyper Mobility in the shoulders and the knees

What's on your mind?

by softballmom1979 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 11:37 am

hello, I am also searching for answers for my daughter. first of all I think it's great that you have taken such measures to help her. my husband thinks this is some cop out that I have made up to give my daughter an excuse. anyway...
my daughter is 13 and has hypermobile shoulders, knees, thumbs all sorts of stuff. 2 years ago she was a top notch pitcher and for no reason all of a sudden she cld barely get it to the plate. that's how we got diagnosed and thus began rehab for rotator cuff. she has since given up on pitching i can tell she wants to but her dad thinks she is just lazy and doesn't understand why she can't pitch as long as the other girls. she actually does better if she doesnt practice every day.mondays after a tourn are the worst. she is exhausted while the other girls are just tired.
i would love to compare notes w you and maybe get some pointers for training.i am afraid she will quit before long out of misunderstanding her condition.
look forward to hearing from you :D
