HBP ?

HBP ?

I have never counted HBP as a time at bat and treated in like BB while figuring stats .... right or wrong ?

You're right G. At Bats do not include BBs, HBPs, Sacrifices or catcher's obstruction.

Yeah ,, Thanks ... I felt like I was correct but saw someone scoring it as an 'at bat' instead of a trip to the plate

Along with walks, while not an at bat, HBP counts in on base percentagecalculation. It also generates a RBI in a bases loaded situation.
