My kid used to have to do some light cardio afterward. Once I stopped coaching her, that pretty much ended.

Jenny Finch had a post game routine that served the same purpose. Many MLBers will hit the bike afterward for a light cardio cool down before icing.

Yes. 15 minutes rest. Then a short jog. Then ice. Regardless of how many pitches she has thrown.

This allows the body repair process to start, the jog will flush any excess fluids and the ice will keep fluid development to a minimum.
