How old is your catcher?

What brand and Model (Name and/or Number) mitt does your catcher currently use?

On a scale of 1-10 (1= bad, 10= ecstatic) How well do they like the mitt?

What one thing would they change about the mitt if they could change anything?

What is your catcher's "dream mitt"?

DD is 19 and this year is a born-again catcher after 3 year layoff(played Centerfield) - Sophomore in College She has used the same Mizuno since 12u

Diamond Sports F355 33.5". Great glove for the cost needs a little more palm padding after losts of use. Hold shape very well Score #8

Worth FPX 34" Great glove out of the box. Cost it up there. Padding held up great. It did break a lace, pitchers are throwing harder and DD catches older division girls at lessons. 34" is a bigger glove and ball transfer Might be a little longer. Glove did not retain it's shape as well as we would have thought. Still a great glove and is being used as a back up.

Vinci Pro JCV-VM 33" So far so Good. Glove has a mesh back, which lightens up the overall weight, and adds breathe ability to the glove. Glove is still being broken in, quality of leather is top notch. If it's like her Vinci fielding glove, it should hold its shape for a long time. Only thing thats real noticable is going from a 34" to a 33". Maybe Vinci will come out with a 33.5 Cost( i'm a Vinci rep so it's a lot easier)

Been using this one since 12u and time to start breaking in another. Probably the Classic Walnut.
Could use another inch of size for the glove
Sticking with Nokona as they have been the best we've had.

My DD is 12U and has only been catching for about 4 months, she uses an Easton NEFP2000.
She(and her pitcher )like that it makes a loud pop when she catches the ball

My 16u is a lefthanded catcher so the choices are limited. She wanted a Nokona but the break-in period with these are lengthy and could not afford to be dropping balls during such a heavy recruiting year. She went with a Worth Liberty and is happy with the padding and playability.

Used Mizuno GXS92 since 9yo great glove with little break in.

Just bought A2000 to start breaking in.

Daughter has had CM275K, Two Black and White Worth Libert Advance, One Blue and Black Worth Liberty Advanced. The color variation of the Worth Liberty took some time to break in, but the standard came game ready. My problem with worth Liberty advanced is only last about a year, then they get soft. You can still catch with them but not a great feeling glove and lost some of shape/support. The blue and black Worth Liberty was holding up great until it popped a lace, not easy to find Carolina Blue leather lacing.

So about a year ago and bought the new Wilson A2K (black and grey- no the brown) and what an awesomely made catchers mitt. Limited break in time, superior leather and best padding that still lets you feel a ball. I used a Easton Stealth one time and had tons of padding but had no idea where the ball is.

Do yourself a favor and pay extra for the Wilson A2K.. I know people that have used the A2000 and couldn't get them broken in or ball popped out way too much..
