Fires Near Boulder

What's on your mind?

by compete4evr » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:28 pm

Stephanie Klaviter canned email response:

Thank you for your concerns about the fires in CO. They are not close to our fields and will not be affecting our tournament and all games are on as scheduled. We will have donation buckets available at Christopher Complex, Aurora Sports Park, and Twin Rivers if you would like to support the efforts of the local fire fighters.

We're in Westminster and although it's around 100 degrees there's no sign of fire or smoke.

To answer you question the best I can, I did some web research and there doesn't appear to be any fires between Boulder and Denver or anywhere close to those two cities.

All fire activity appears to be well north or well south.

Traffic looks clear that way as well:

You're the bomb fastpitchdad05! Thanks for the info. I had seen the traffic seemed to look good. Just wanted to be sure there was nothing smokey on that part of the drive. We are heading north into Longmont on Thursday.

Greatly appreciate the 411...

I'm hearing that its the heat that is affecting a lot of people. 16U having some girls down due to the heat. Be careful and remember lots and lots of water and shade as best you can!

Best of luck to everyone!!!
