Will you get very many scout out at 18U Nationals?

I didn't think so, but I was shocked to see how many teams attended last year. Trying to figure out what we're going to do if we don't qualify for 18 Gold.

It wouldn't be that. Once you enter and check in at an 18 Gold Qualifier, you won't be allowed to play down to 18A that year.

Your best bet at that point is to enter the West/South/North/East 18 Gold National; at least you can attempt a berth for the following year's team, while playing other teams in the same position.

While I agree completely, the ones that ARE there are there for a reason; they have an immediate need to fill. They are looking at the last refuge to fill that immediate need, since the vast majority of 18 Gold players are signed or committed, and completely picked over.

If a coach unexpectedly loses a player, be it from catastrophic injury, unexpected transfer, a player not playing at the expected level, player quits the game for boyfriend, player uncommits, whatever; I am told the most likely place to find an uncommitted senior for RIGHT NOW with possible skills is the 18A National.

So, whatever coaches are there, they are there to pick the one best person to fill that spot that they see. Have a good tournament in front of the right coach; well, it only takes one if that one needs and wants your DD.

I have always thought that "Showcases" were the place to seen and Gold nat/Premiere were where they followed up on recruits? Hit as many good Showcase events as the budget will allow. Co./Surf City/ Plano/Fl/NJ/AZ/LV and Ronald McDonald. I am sure I missed a few(or more)
