Why do people have to lie?

What's on your mind?

That opens up a whole new topic, I have a dad that quit for his daughter via text message and will not return my phone calls, text messages, or emails to get the TEAMS equipment. We have a contract that clearly stats what is required to be returned. What the heck is equipment with another teams logo all over it going to do for you anyway? Any suggestions???

It is true though, I do not care why they decided to quit as I have a pretty good idea, although a face to face would have been more appropriate...

If they signed a contract that states there is a certain amount due if equipment is not returned, you can turn them into ASA and they will not be able to play with another team until it is.

I'm only drunk two beers, ocifer.

Geez G'wo, where did you learn how to get arrested? :o ;)

I bet he read about it in a book ! :D

LMAO! ... well ... although honesty is usually the best policy ... there was that one time when I told the complete truth to the Occifer and that didn't work out so good ... ... it would seem that " 15 beers, a few lines and a big fat one " wasn't the answer he was lookin' for ...

He told another coach & a bunch of parents, who eventually told me, that I was a "Psycho." Because I told him the truth? (As I saw it!) Yeah, maybe I was a bit passionate and used some "colourful" words I maybe shouldn't have used, but so what!

That's why I like to take the "thank you for the opportunity, best of luck" approach. The coach knows why and what he did or didn't do.

I still bailed on it. Paragraph three looked too cumbersome.

Do they really think coaches buy "my DD is tired" or "she needs a break" or "she not into it"? Do they not think that EVERYONE knows they are going to show up 4 days later at a tryout down the street. I know its the nature of the beast.... that doesn't mean I have to like it!

Did you ever stop to think they were telling the truth.. "My DD is tired..of you!" (but decided to be considerate of your feelings)
"She needs a break, from You!" (again being considerate)
"She is not into it, playing on a team with you" Oh and most of the other parents feel the same way!

Maybe you just have a really decent parent who would like something more for their child and considering all the drama you are stirring up from this post, they made the right decision.

Ditto!

Ladies,
There was a birthday? Was my invite lost in the mail? Eaten by a dingo?
Oh, tragedy!
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Me too!

While the attempted use of paragraphs is a fine start, there are also guidelines that govern their purpose and application. For HB purposes, think of it this way... the shorter your paragraphs, the more likely your post will be read.
