I was talking to parents on my team over the weekend and they relayed a rumor(I know rumors are bad) about a coach who said he would do anything to destroy another coaches team. At first I laughed, How arch villain of them! Rofl Then I asked, do you mean they're recruiting players they need? The response was no, they want to break apart another coaches team. Then I realized they were serious! I'm 57 I thought I left high school
With all jokes aside, what I say next, I say with all humility,
Don't burn your bridges. I've made that mistake myself before and there's no more embarrassing feeling when your sitting next to your "sworn enemy" on your new team! ( or my case, college team Yikes!)
Don't get all crazy about the hype over the letters on your chest, because they may change. They absolutely will change if your daughter is lucky enough to play in college and you're stuck with the very same people you vowed to destroy for the next 4 years! lol.
Just focus on this time with your daughter, enjoy it. You don't know how fortunate you
really are. There are things in life more important than softball.
Save the the arch villain stuff for Marvel comics, you'll be much happier later down the road
