Smartie school? Sounds more like a safety school!!!

Was meant somewhat tongue in cheek- Just that many of the schools we looked at were far above the level mentioned. The entire NESAC(Div III) has higher levels

And. to top it off, NESCAC is becoming even harder to get into these days. (ouch!)

One NESCAC school (school "X") had 8640 applicants this year (2011). The latest numbers as of 3 weeks ago was that the acceptance rate was 13%, the lowest acceptance rate in history combined with the most applicants in history. All that was for 451 openings in the freshman class of 2015. (ouch, ouch... and ouch again).

I can't state the 2011 numbers for Williams (also NESCAC) but "student athletes" were expected to have a 2150-2250 SAT and 31-34 ACT. There are always exceptions but those are (by definition) exceptions. Great school, though, and if your even close, worth looking into as are all the NESCAC schools. Kids are gettin' smarter these days... certainly smarter than me.

But they won't be on ESPN. Or ESPN2, ESPN9, ESPN23 or anything starting with an "E". But that's ok.

Enjoy in good health,

And Half of them you see on ESPN walk away losing.

Then again, half of them you see on Bloomberg are facing criminal charges...

I have seen some colleges snub their nose at the D1 level over courses and majors. Any course that has a ton of labs and clinical,s are sometimes frowned upon. D1 is a grind and at that level any coach that is honest will tell you up front they would prefer you not to have that major.

Mine was told to schedule no classes after 3pm. Practice is 3 to 630 Mon thru Sat. So there is a little truth in that statement.

Scheduling classes on certain days will be up to the athletic adviser to approve or nix. That is supposed to be their job as a go between the professors and the coaches

Statements like these are school specific and Division specific. Alot of D3 schools will tell you it is academics first then sports. D1 and 2................ not so much
