Softball is a great thing. My daughter graduated two years ago, yet she and I are watching this games(albeit over the internet) and texting each other over calls, coaching moves etc....... I guess it never ends......... :)

BTW Softball is a small world. This Friday Babson will play against Williams College in Williamstown, MA(NESCAC School) One of the Asst. Coaches for Williams played travel ball with my daughter

"The winner of next weekend's series advances to the College World Series in Oklahoma City"

Quote from the article.

Fake news, there is no such thing as a DIII College World Series, they call it a championship or something like that.

That's what you got out of the article? Very sad- so bothered by a symantics error. It says much about you as a person

Normally, I would not read any articles about NE DIII softball, but since you shared it, I noticed the glaring mistake. Why would they do that?

I feel much better that I am now better educated about DIII softball. Heaven forbid someone shares softball news a little off the SEC, Pac-12 or Big10 path. Why don't you get on all these new posters with their 'birth" to Nationals, talk about a glaring error ;) I enjoy reading all kinds of softball news even if comes from the land of chowder :D

I know you have some insatiable appetite for some kind of conspiracy or scam, but more likely it was some low-level assistant or inter/work-study student in the school's Athletic department who wrote that after talking to some of the players. It may surprise you that many in the DIII world (although technically incorrect) consider the DIII Championship the "DIII World Series" And why not? Is it not their "World Series"? So sorry that you are so threatened by that.

These players have just as much passion about the game as their DI sisters. They play for the game-there is no real National coverage, no TV time- just a passion for the game.
