Lots of rumors about changes in coaching at many universities. Who will be changing coaches in the off season and who will be candidates for those schools?

Arkansas and OSU are looking. Lot's of good mid major coaches and major assist. OSU won't have to look far to find a former Cowboy and great coach. Patty may have to find another assist.
Arkansas may have to look a little further if Tripp goes to Ok St.. They could look down south and get another top assist from the Tigers. Dobson has helped the Tiger offense and is a proven head coach formerly at So. Miss. The Hogs have a young team with 20 underclassmen last year. All 4 pitchers were underclassmen. A lot of good talent for an incoming coach to work with.

Either team could go after a female. One of the best in down in central fl. Renee has a proven record with the Knights with 6 NCAA regional appearances and her prior playing and coaching experience in Texas will help in Texas recruiting.

Don't expect either team to make an announcement until after the World Series. Then the new coaches will have to get busy in order to keep current players and incoming freshmen. This, not recruiting, will be their biggest challenge. If they can keep, and coach the talent they have, the recruiting will take care of itself. If you don't believe that, just ask Clint Myers.

Other coaches with a shot a some major schools:
Vann Stuedeman - Reports are the the Bulldogs haven't forked out the money to keep her. If true, the Cowgirls or the Hogs could get a great one.
Tyra Perry - This girl has done well getting Ball State to the regionals. She may need a few more years to prove herself, but look for here to move quick.
Craig Snider - This FSU assistant is ready to take control of a major D1 team. He has revitalized the 'Noles offense and may be just what Arkansas or the Cowgirls need.
Megan Gibson - Maybe not ready for a major D1 head coach, she is likely ready for a mid major. This former all american at Texas A&M has played professionally and been an assistant at UTSA and Penn St. Primary resp for pitching, but was also an excellent hitter. Look for her to move on soon.

I know I've left out a lot of great coaches that could move on. Add to the list.

Add So Bama coach Becky Clark. Heck of a job with Jags since starting the program.

Add the Gopher's Allister. Heck of a job up there in Minnesota.

Two big schools looking and excellent opportunities for these coaches to compete at a high level.

Whoever takes the Arkansas job will have a tough challenge playing in the SEC. This conference has proven they are dominate with 4 teams already in the WCWS and likely 5th will be added tonight. Is there another Clint Myers out there. Time will tell. This almost a no lose situation for a good coach though. If they don't do anything the next 2 years it's expected. If they do, they're a genius.

The OSU job will also be a challenge. This is a talent depleted team thanks to the prior coach. Not demeaning any current players, but he ran off good players and recruits. With that said, it is a good job, especially now with all those OU seniors gone. The cowgirls will have a fighting chance in the Big 12. Texas lost their best pitcher, OU lost hitters, and Baylor, I m not sure what happened.

2 years ago in DD's FC days I sat next to coach Ferrin as he'd verballed an outfielder on DD's team & we chatted for the entire game. Nice guy, funny. Good school too
