I guess my answer was not fair to the school. She is not a fan of the East Coast and cold winters. The school just didn't strike a chord with her. She is very happy in San Diego pursuing and Mechanical Engineering degree and kicking butt in the classroom and softball field. Life is good.

Divesting from the Federal Death Machine?…wow that is a horrible idea! What the hell are they thinking?


Sorry about the length of this post BUT I’ll begin by saying something personal about myself so you all will know exactly where I am coming from.
My Brother- in- Law is Syrian. He speaks fluent Arabic, French and English and a Christian. That makes my sisters son, my nephew, half Arab. His grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles still live in Damascus. The people liked Assad in Damascus. They felt safe from Islamic Extremists with Assad in Power. The same way the Iraqi’s felt relatively safe with Saddam in power. And BTW he was THEIR problem anyway not ours.
The United States Military Industrial Machine and it’s toady Israel have created a mess to balkanize the middle east. You need to stop confusing the News with the truth. It’s not. What is confounding and irrational and inscrutable isn’t that people in the region react by turning to “radicalism” and violence. It’s that many journalists and officials in western nations seem to think that they can go around for decades invading, occupying, imprisoning without charges and dropping bombs on multiple other countries around the world, regularly killing innocents, including children, and then act shocked and surprised when people in those countries, or who identify with them, want to bring violence back in return. It’s a sentiment grounded in deep irrationality, blind nationalism, and primitive tribalism.

How many innocent civilians need to die before Americans start speaking up?
One of the few rights we have left and that is the right to decide where we spend our federal reserve notes?
I support any entity that supports peace, over war. Congrats UC system on choosing Peace.
