This is a great point. Big difference in how well a team does when it really matters vs "beating" them in a friendly.

Now if they did beat those teams "more than once" (or even once for that matter) when it really counted then they have at least the start of a legitimate gripe.

Did your DD's team notify PGF they were interested in an At-Large Berth? PGF only evaluates teams that express an interest.

PGF's evaluation primarily looks at how teams fared in PGF qualifiers. A couple of the teams had strong performances and barely missed qualifying (e.g. CC Dirt Dogs, OCBB Blake). PGF also seems to give some weight to number of qualifiers entered.
