Another two great bands. I liked some of the past bands a bit better, but the girls probably like these bands more:

Sled Grits Band

Midnight Red

My daughter and her teammates still carry on about how great PGF opening ceremonies are with the bands, and the speakers.

4.) Donation of $100 per team, made payable to PGF, to be donated to the John Wayne Breast Cancer Institute.

Why would PGF require the checks be made payable to them? It makes no sense and raises questions...

Since they are a for profit business it is a tax write off for them to make the donation in their name.

It's a wash for them because they also have to report the income.

It technically allows them to say they "donated" x amount of money, even though the money didn't really come out of their pocket. They do something similar in Surf City's October Showcase.

YOUR ENTRY FEE HAS BEEN INCREASED TO INCLUDE A $100 DONATION TO BREAST CANCER AWARENESS.
...
SURF CITY TOURNEYS DONATED IN 2012 - $23,000 TO THE JOHN WAYNE BREAST CANCER INSTITUTE

The teams donated the money, so it would be more accurate to say SCT "raised" the money.

Cute. Volundatory, as in a combination of voluntary + mandatory.

PGF sent out an email with more info about it. Here's an excerpt.

On behalf of all the players, coaches and teams in the 2014 PGF Nationals, we would like to make a collective donation to the Cancer Institute and are asking each team, strictly on a voluntary basis, to donate $100 by check. For all the teams that can do so, we'll provide pink Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets to each player, which can be worn in games during the week.

If you'd like to contribute $100 towards this great cause in behalf of your team/organization, bring a check to the first day of registration and address it to: "Premier Girls Fastpitch (Cancer)."

Are all games going to be shown on pointstreak or just a select few?
