It was reported on UCS that the 18u brackets were seeded top and bottom, to protect Worth Firecrackers, SoCal Athletics, OC Batbusters, and Beverly Bandits from playing each other.
Looking at the brackets, it appears that this happened, or was it a coincidence near impossibility, in a mathematical sense? Is seeding the draw part of the regular format?

JMO, but it would be a good thing for fastpitch if they did seed and then somebody from somewhere other than SoCal stepped up and beat some of these teams. Until then, everyone else should shut up and play....

The top four returning seeds from last year were seeded into bracket. Nothing else was seeded.

Me personally would've liked it to be open for all teams and if one of these teams meet early so be it. But so far so good and I'm not complaining.
