PGF....losing ground beyond California

Questions and discussions involving PGF

14U...win 1 game and you qualify.

16U...win 2 games and you qualify

18G...win 3 games and you qualify

PGF has officially become laughable. Please take the "National Championship" out of your name and call it a Invitational. People make begin to respect you beyond the California border.

College coaches go everywhere. There are showcases all over the country from NY to Cali./ Ohio to Texas.... Your point is valid but a little lame. They also go to just about every showcase in the country.

Could be easier than that. I was told repeatedly last May that AF Kennedy folded. That would leave 3 teams for 3 berths.

16u Northeast qualifier, win one and you're in.

3 berths in a 4 team qualifier, so you win one and you are in.

From this page http://www.premiergirlsfastpitch.com/tourney13/

Pools and Brackets are now active for 16U & 18HS.
The 14U division will have more info soon.

14U is gone from pools schedule. Link to bracket is gone also.

Yes, as noted the 16u qualifier bracket I posted awards three berths so only one team in that field won't get one. That being the case, as someone who lives on the east coast I think it is a little premature to say PGF is losing ground when it hasn't had much of a chance to gain ground.

Most of the high profile orgs in this area will have their 18u gold teams try to qualify for PGF while the 16u or younger teams will chase an ASA berth. I wasn't around travel ball in the glory days of ASA but wasn't it fairly common for a SoCal team to parachute into a soft east coast qualifier, like Am Pastime in the above PGF example, in order to punch their ticket to ASA nats?
