...hence the creation of PGF in the eyes of most of us. The same thing could be said for PGF with SoCal folks.

But SoCal teams did make the trips. year after year, wherever ASA sent us. Location and transportation were never factors.

...and TX teams did the same. What's you're point?

Obviously lost on you.
Bottom line is I could care less where anyone decides to go, It's their decision..
It's just fun to bust your chops. ;) :P

LOL...Spaz, don't you think that I know that by now...

Although, I don't know what "lost on you" means. Is that a Cali quote? :D

Dallas to OKC = 208 miles ( 3 hours)
Houston to OKC = 445 miles ( 7 1/2 hours)
Austin to OKC = 388 miles ( 6 1/2 hours)
San Antonio to OKC = 466 miles ( 7 3/4 hours)
Corpus Christi to OKC = 600 miles ( 10 hours )

Most people can make those drives in less time than shown. C'mon, anything less than 8 hours is fairly easy and not really worth flying.

Shooting up to OKC is not as easy as it sounds.

Sure it is - all you need are your guns and enough ammo. It's a lot easier in your truck than on an airliner.

The Great State of Texas is large.

Therefore you're used to driving long distances within the state for weekend tournaments.

What will 16u teams do next year when ASA/USA Nats are in NorCal?
- Will the Texas teams go ASA/USA, Premier or ASA Southern Nats (Lawton, OK)?
- Will NorCal teams stay home?
- Will SoCal teams still chase a PGF berth out of state?
- Where will the Eastern teams go?

My guess is you will see So Cal and Nor Cal teams trying to qualify for PGF as a first option, and ASA as a second option. Will PGF resort to more invites to get teams before ASA qualifiers? Since the proximity of ASA and PGF is relatively the same for most mid-America/East Coast teams, you may see more invites and more accepted invites from teams, for example, from Texas, Georgia, etc. I mean why not accept a free invite or try to qualify for PGF if you have to travel to California for ASA too. Get a free pass for a year and they (PGF) hope you will go to qualifiers in future years and support PGF instead of ASA. ASA is probably doing PGF a favor for 16u next year by holding ASA nats so close (relatively speaking) to PGF nats.

It depends on the election in November. :ugeek:

I can only speak for one team from Texas but if ASA Nats are in Norcal, we will be there if we qualify. Just thinking about me being able to bring a little Texas sunshine to the Cali state just makes me all fuzzy inside. 8-) :D

We'd prefer some KY moonshine to make us all fuzzy inside... 8-)

Whatever you're drinking is fine with me. I gotta admit, Mag's apple pie 'shine did look pretty tasty - I'll use my own glass though.

Don't feel bad, there are a lot of us that can't qualify for Premier and might head that way.

Some of us can even admit it!
