What about rec ball?

Questions and discussions involving PGF

by CheckWriter » Fri Aug 19, 2011 9:12 pm

Older DD did ASA through 18G all the way to OK City for Nationals, complete with picture of her playing in HOF Stadium.

We fly younger DD to deliver her to her dorm on 8/31. She has done PGF the last 2 years.

No question we like the end of year PGF better than the end of year ASA.

Doesn't everyone start in rec ball though?

PGF going to take that on eventually?

Been pondering that question for some time.

My point is, I don't know of anybody's DD that didn't start in rec ball.

IF PGF gains in popularity and ASA wanes enough, are they prepared to "take over" rec ball?

Just taking this thing to an illogical extreme.

So what are we talking about here, a "B" level PGF tourney? I think its a bit early for the discussion but not a terrible idea. I agree that all of our dd's for the most part probably played rec ball. I still volunteer for our local rec program as I think it was a big part in getting my dd started 10 years ago or so and the success she achieved. The local rec program is now a skeleton of what it was due to all the teams that have formed but it was a good experience for our family. Of course you learn how little you know about the sport going from a rec parent/coach to TB. Its pretty comical looking back. I'd love to see these girls get an opportunity down the road when PGF gets everything straightened out.
