There will be at least one round of Pool games Monday Morning 8/1 followed by the Opening Ceremonies in the afternoon, our parents would like to know since this is the 1st year of 14U does anyone know if the teams/girls will be trading pins at opening ceremonies

Pin trading usually stops after 12u.

I guess it is fading away. Back when older DD went to 16U Nationals in Seattle, I'd say pretty close to half the girls brought and traded pins.

Maybe because the nest will be empty come 9/1/2011 that stuff seems kinda' cool now.

Well, I don't know about last year, but the US Open of Surfing starts the same day as Premier. There is going to be a lot of drunk, partially naked people at the beach for opening ceremonies.

There are no plans for an organized pin trading session but the girls will be there and I am sure
they can trade pins if they wish to trade pins.

Our team is coming (Ohio Lasers Black) but we are not bringing pins.
