Some teams will win, some will lose. But, most will have fun. Other than that who gives an "S". Once you get past 12U it's not about who wins what and got a Trophy it's about getting better, qualifying for PGF, going to HB and competing and your DD getting looked at and hopefully recruited.

Baller, it's refreshing to see parents who truly get it. Well put. "Hit Dirt We Work" Stolen from another Dad that gets it.

you guys can spend all that time on 12u rankings but can't have a little fun with a tournament? tough crowd :D

question. why would orgs play a tournament that no one gives an "S" about winning...its about getting better and recruiting!!...instead of going to dirt dog showcase? it couldn't possibly be that winning there could have some meaning down the road, could it? its not like pgf hands out mysterious pgf berths when no one is looking or anything like that. oh wait....

To get better you have to play better teams and historically local tournaments don't draw top teams past 12U or first year 14's

With that said looks like 1st to 3rd Tournaments is changing that.

The endgame looks more like money grab and U-trips weak attempt to lure teams to compete with PGF Nationals. Isnt 1st to 3rd run by Grapettes coach?

Not sure what you're getting at... One minute your bitchin about everybody playing in Salinas and now your trying to use my point as to why everyone went to Salinas against me.

My point about first to third was that they're drawing better NorCal competition in the older age groups over any bullshit dirt dog Ybarra tournament. He's great for NorCal 10's and 12's that think they're the shit before they grow up and get rolled down south.

Go back under your rock and troll someone else. It's obvious your just trying to stir up shit.
