Spring 2015 12u ranking

by quietstorm02 » Tue Apr 14, 2015 2:14 pm

I agree with you, Texmex. I was half-jokingly lamenting the fact that I'd opened my mouth and then saw 2 completely stacked pools when they came out. Being able to face all tough opponents in a tourney can only make our team better. And once we get to the end-of-season tournament, there won't be any letup in the schedule. I know there's still a lot of the season left, but preparation-wise, I think the next few weeks will be critical for those teams that'll be chasing PGF berths locally.

There was a Gonzales team playing in 14s, too. I only see the 12s-Gonzales listed on the website - is the other one a spring team?

Oh, duh - I knew that. Obviously I didn't look at the brackets closely enough to answer my own question.

Congrats to the Salinas Storm. Where was the ASA tourney held? What web site can I find the brackets on?

This appears to have been a tournament called the "ASA Spring Bash pre-qualifier" hosted by the Salinas Storm. No real noteworthy teams in it except maybe the Hollister Blackjacks.

Link to the bracket is here - http://www.salinasstorm.org/wp-content/ ... hedule.pdf

It's pretty much a regular tournament, but for NorCal ASA purposes, any team that wants to participate in the NorCal ASA Association Championships in June has to play in at least one of these 'pre-qualifiers'.

I think if Salinas Storm - Gonzales wants friendlies with the better teams, they would need to beat some of the better teams first to gain some attention. Most teams around the Sacramento valley don't know a whole lot about this team. Fresno will be a good place to make their mark.
