2017 LXT Review?

by sacval00dad » Fri Jul 15, 2016 5:49 am

Not that I'm seeing the 2017 LXT in dugouts, I thought I would check in to see if anybody had a review. Did your DD use the 2016 prior to the 2017? Is there a noticeable difference?

Normally I don't care much about year over year bat models, but with the LXT there was a very noticeable difference between the '14, '15 and '16.

Our 16 sucked - so we went back to Demarini and it's HOT.

I would guess that a lot of the 2017 LXTs you are seeing are warranty replacements for 2016s that failed early (as my DD's did). This is our third year of LXTs (having moved up an inch/ounce in '16). Our take on the '17 - much better "pop" than the '16, maybe a little better than the '15, jury still out on durability.

'17 LXT is much better. DD has managed to use the '17 for over 500 hits and it hasn't broken yet. She went thru 12, yes 12, '16 LXTs since SEP 2016, We had one that lasted a week before it broke. To Louisville's credit, they have sent me a new one ever time. I have returned so many I have actually spent enough on shipping to pay for a new bat. Would be nice if they sent me a free LXT to make up for it, but I guess I won't hold my breath.
