He did, despite the fact that he always got second pick behind Phil in the Sorcerer draft.

I think the link pretty much tells the story. If you now are going to live full time in Volcano, it's a very long commute to coach a team in the Bay Area. We at Sorcerer are very sorry to see Pete leave our ranks, but home and family come first. At least he will still be able to stay involved with girls fastpitch softball. Pete did a wonderful job for our club and we wish he and his wife Kim all the best in their new phase of life. Speaking in behalf of all the families whose lives he touched, thanks for everything Pete!

This is sort of old news in that Pete, except for a weekend in which he filled in, has not coached the team since Gold Nationals in August. This fall the team is being coached by Wayne Aweau, Pete's former assistant, and Harry Mamizuka.
