Off topic. Home for jokes and other misc. stuff.

Micro Breweries have become one of the big successes over the past decade. It seems new micro breweries are popping up everywhere and producing some great craft beer. This weekend I am hitting another brewery(thanks to a groupon from DD) and also a new distillery in Rhode Island.

I know we have done this before, but have you discovered some craft breweries you would like to share?

Here are some of mine:

The classics-
Long Trail- Just outside Killington VT- have been going there and drinking it for 20 years http://longtrail.com/age-verification?d ... ion=node/2

Dog Fish head http://www.dogfish.com/

Some more recent discoveries

Grey Sail http://greysailbrewing.com/

Cottrell Brewing http://greysailbrewing.com/ They also do contract brewing for Trader Joes(gotta love a $5.99 IPA!!!! $7 Growler refills!!!

Beer'd Brewing http://beerdbrewing.com/ funky old factory in Stonington, CT

I went to my first real craft brewery (ie. not restaurant w/ brewery) 2 weeks ago while having dinner with my son - http://www.yelp.com/biz/bottle-logic-brewing-anaheim. We ordered a couple premium burgers from a food truck, http://the-cut.com/, on our way inside and they brought the food to us. We shared a flight of 6 sample glasses since it was my first time there and my son was pushed for time. The beer and food were both excellent.

I noticed some others in OC while figuring out where to go last time.

The next time you are on your way to Hemet(dependent on where you are coming from) or Cathedral City, try our popular microbrewery in Redlands http://hangar24brewery.com
It's pretty popular, but no food is served there.

My son is a big fan of Hangar 24. He worked at a pub/restaurant and they usually have 2-3 H24's on their 26 taps.

Their tasting room does attract food trucks. I didn't see a schedule of them on the website, so I'd call ahead for your food options if you also want to eat.
