Could you elaborate on this statement please. Israel is a colonial settler state. What rights do the Palestinians get while their land is being stolen?

Gladly- how far back would you like me to go?...1947? 1000 BCE? Suggesting that the Jewish people do not have the right to a state of their own in the middle east is a little disturbing, are you saying they deserve a state but the current boundaries are wrong or are you saying that there should not be a Jewish state in the region at all?

As for the rights of Palestinians, it is tragic that it has gotten this bad and they have very few rights at this point, but by the same token, there have been a lot of opportunities for Palestinian Authorities to acknowledge the right of a Jewish state over the decades and work more peacefully towards a two state solution. Other Muslim states also have a part to play. Bottom line is that in the region you have 90% Muslim control of the land, Having a small area controlled by another faith is really not too much to ask. So if you use a wider lens on this and look at it from he standpoint of two peoples with valid territorial claims to have safe secure borders in the region, then it is really hard to say the Muslim people are getting the short end of the stick in the middle east since they control almost all of it.

As you narrow that lens to then look at Palestine itself, or a neighborhood or a family or a child then it gets progressively more tragic. And that is where the propaganda takes over, it is heart wrenching to watch a girl explain how she hears gunshots on her way to school, but if you then added clips of Israeli children in pieces from a suicide bomber it would shift the other direction.

That is why it is so important to keep that wider lens in place, up close I am sure that the tragedy that German children endured in WWII was equally horrific, but it does not mean that the war to check their aggression and topple the Nazi regime was wrong.

Wow--I see I was typing my response while you were going on a tirade about how Jewish people have no claim to middle east land. If this is where you are coming from then we probably will not find anything productive in any exchanges, I think your thinking is exactly why there is ongoing conflict there. The refusal to accept the right of a Jewish state in the region is the root of the problem and as long as this thinking abounds there will be tragic conflict. If all of Islam woke up one day and finally said, "you know, maybe we can give the Jews a little strip of land where they can live unmolested and without fear" I think things would change in a hurry.

Sorry but my thinking on the subject at present is that there needs to be one state that has equal rights for all. It is as simple as that and that would mean ending discrimination of the Palestinians and the zionists are unwilling to do that.

So you think that Jewish people could expect fair treatment in a state that has a majority Muslim population?

Sorry but I just have not seen an example of a Muslim state in modern times that has been able to treat minorities or weaker segments of the poplulation with any level of equality for any extended period of time. If you have an example of a Muslim state where human rights are applied even close to equally among all then please enlighten me. I think the Persian Empire was the last time the area was hospitable to other religions, but then again, at that time they were Zoroastrians and not Muslims.

What is happening now? The video is 12 years old.

A few points.

WWJD - would tell you to get the heck out of the way of a moving bulldozer, he gave this child a brain to figure this out. He is probably not happy she gave up her life for a mud hut that was probably used to hide missiles.

Parents don't raise your children to be liberal. That will normally happen anyways because of naive youth and if they go to college, the f*cked up communist professors will certainly push them in that direction. Your children do not need to hear liberal crap from you too.

Charity starts at home. Many causes and injustices here at home. There is no political brownie buttons or cameras in domestic issues, but Jesus is watching and approves.

Don't be arrogant. Our view points of what is right is not the same around the world.

Too bad this kid lost her life, senselessly.

That is all I have to say.

I heard that Jesus gave his life for a pretty important cause. I'll let you google it if you don't remember what that was.

a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation), facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation. ~George Washington

You didn't answer my question, Please name a Muslim county where minorities, religious and otherwise, and women enjoy the rights they do in say Europe or America?

There is one country in the middle east where women and minorities enjoy equal protection, you know the one that you are so against.

BW kindly don't take assumptions on what I know or don't know. If you want to complain about Christians be specific. My point was & is not 1 single Christian Minster is telling their flock to kill all those who are not Christian.

I'd say judging by your words you're angry that a certain % of Christians who when reading the Bible believe the "Chosen people" are just that & therefore their support of Israel financially is in direct opposition to your personal resentments.

We all have baggage, I've met women with 27 pieces of Louis Vuittron who have no idea what their baggage is & if they did they wouldn't know where to find it. You on the other hand know exactly where in your backpack all your small, medium & large tool are. Actually that's probably a good thing for YOU.

Look BW, more innocent victims killed by Israeli aggression. Strangely enough, they were all named Lazarus.
