Black widow, back to the wood pile for you - go snag a cricket or two. I sure hope you are not a school teacher.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill (1874-1965)

from her recent post I am assuming BW has moved to Colorado. :?

I have perhaps a better essay question the teacher could have asked their students

While they were Presidents, George W Bush was labled by some detractors as a "Fascist" and Barak Obama as a "Socialist" Please support or reject these labels -support your arguments with facts and examples

People have had discussions with you when you actually say in your own words what you think rather than just post links and pictures.

Naomi Wolf wrote an excellent book on the subject as well.
The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot

She followed it up with an excellent speaking tour also titled End of America

What I think in my own words? I have no problem with the essay assigned. I call it thinking. And sometimes thinking requires us to look at things from a different perspective, even one you don't agree with.

Peace.

...And just for the record I voted for Mr. Bush in the 2000 presidential election. It was to be the last time I ever vote in a federal election.
Now I subscribe to the George Carlin philosophy on voting. I stay home.

Writing in The Atlantic in January 2013, law and business professor Mark Nuckols declared, "In her various books, articles, and public speeches, Wolf has demonstrated recurring disregard for the historical record and consistently mutilated the truth with selective and ultimately deceptive use of her sources. All of this might have little real-world import when she writes about her orgasms or her weight problems. But when she distorts facts to advance her political agenda, she dishonors the victims of history and poisons present-day public discourse about issues of vital importance to a free society." In particular, Nuckols argued, "Naomi Wolf has for many years now been claiming that a fascist coup in America is imminent. Most recently in The Guardian she alleged, with no substantiation, that the U.S. government and big American banks are conspiring to impose a 'totally integrated corporate-state repression of dissent.'"

I'm aware of the criticism of the book but have you read it?
Just as there is criticism of the other links I have posted in this thread by my fellow posters. So what? Have you read the book or watched The presentation?
What do you think of it in your own words?

If you disagree with the comparisons being made please elaborate why.

So the author of your Atlantic article doesn't even live in the United States?
MARK NUCKOLS
Mark Nuckols teaches at the Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School and at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

I usually consider the sources as well as the info being presented. That helps me judge the potential bias.

I reviewed her 10-step plan and surmised what kinds of things she'd use to support most of them. The article by Nuckols revealed I gave her more credit than she deserved.

Bottom line is it's typical political BS that takes things out of context, puts their spin on it and then makes an overblown production out of it. That applies to the far left, far right and every other fringe group.

The conspiracy theorists are the worst though, because they stretch further to make their case. The bigger the conspiracy, the more they have to stretch for evidence and deny evidence to the contrary.

He grew up in rural VA and got his JD from Georgetown Law. Lots of credible Americans spend time working overseas during their career. It gives them more perspective.

I'm certainly not impressed by Wolf's credentials - a BA in English Lit and a Rhodes Scholar at a college best known for its choir.
