Anything you can show is “personal use”- An ounce and under no problem, two ounces well you may need a good story, but most still get drug court. Weed does not count here either. For 60 bucks you can get a medical card and possess a couple of pounds

Speaking of New York City...

When the New York Police Department asked Twitter users on Tuesday to share their photographs with police officers, they were perhaps expecting a few feel-good neighborhood scenes or tourists with police horses in Times Square.
A few posted pictures of themselves with officers, smiling.
Most did not.

Just before midnight, more than 70,000 people had posted comments on Twitter decrying police brutality, slamming the NYPD for the social media disaster and recalling the names of people shot to death by police. It was the top trending hashtag on Twitter by late Tuesday, replacing #HappyEarthDay.

It was a dumb PR move by the NYPD because it was hijacked. The pictures show a point of time and are without context. In NYC Police Brutality is not the problem. In too many neighborhoods their is a fear of the Police(fanned by idiot posters like the one's who hijacked the NYPD's site) instead of fearing the criminals that rob them, kill them and cause them to live in fear.

The NYPD of today is nothing like the the NYPD of "Serpico"

Perhaps you should join with DiBlasio(booed on Opening day at Citifield) in villianizing the very organization that has helpd to make NYC the safest large city in the US

In Texas, Less than one gram is a State jail felony punishable by 180 days to 2 years in a state jail

1 gram or more but less than 4 grams is a Third-degree felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in a state prison

4 grams or more but less than 200 grams is a Second-degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in a state prison

200 grams or more but less than 400 grams is a First-degree felony punishable by 5 to 99 years in a state prison

If you catch a state jail felony, it is possible to clear your record. If you catch a state prison felony then you can only get a Governor's pardon.

Weed is a different story...and to think it used to be a schedule 1 drug which is about as bad as it gets. Now it's nothing. Ridiculous...

2 things about the Texas drug laws I can think of 1) i remember a guy in the '80's got 10 years for 2 joints & 2) when Ex Cowboy Nate Newton got popped with a van full of weed his sentence wasn't quite so harsh.

Several southern states judges believe "if you got a joint, you're a drug addict, if you got a bag of weed you're a drug dealer" Doesn't seem to stop the cartels from sending tons across the border though does it?

What do you expect , when you run a city police force like the Ordnungspolizei and disregard peoples civil rights (including the right to travel unmolested ) as a matter of policy…...……because safety.
