LOL ... That was a headline that just flashed across my monitor ... Rest easy, I don't think the Northeast is paralyzed ... But I did see a FB post by two of my DD's in ME that they had to get up at 4 to shovel their driveway in order to get to work on time.

Jimmy Kimmel rightly ridiculed the fuss over .26 inches of rain out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBlDU8e7om0

2 degrees on car thermo this morning. Roads slick. Expecting a few days of melt down and then a big freeze. Lots of ice!

Hercules ? LOL ... According to DD's they were calling this storm " It's Friday and we're going to a party at this cool bar "
DD's said they ended up with about a foot on the coast of ME ... Their biggest storm last year was about 3 feet and had more drifting ... Roads yesterday evening ( just wet ) were better than this am ( frozen ) ... No big thing in any case ... It is single digits in temperature and the dog got packed ice/snow stuck in her pads ... Over all, just another winter day in the Northeast ... Day off from work and they're going to a job fair .... Life goes on

Tough going in NYC--tough clearing the streets

Seemed people were smart and stayed off the roads until they were clear. Seems there were less idiots out there. Secondary roads real slick this morning- Appreciate AWD on days like this!!!

The funny thing weather like this was the norm in Western NY where I wnt to school. I am sure in Maine they just take it in stride.
