A fun gift to give?
A couple gift ideas I have given in the past.
A twelve pack of beer,,,open box,,rubber band a $2 bill around each one,glue box closed. (a pleasant surprise)
Another gift I gave a nephew,,50 $1 dollar bills and 50 Merry Christmas cards. (fun to watch him have to open them all)
Another time I taped a load of $1 dollar bills together and wrapped the gift with money.
Sure it's not much, but it is more fun than a gift card, and I have never met anyone young or old who didn't like money, so make it a little different and fun.

Decorated or hand painted wine glass. sold at Hallmark stores.
At some malls or areas they have one of those places that you decorated coffee cups and plates.
If you take just a moment of time, it is personal with your crappy art work that she will like and love it. (Maybe put a message in bottom of mug.)
Get a hand decorated blank on inside card. Then buy a card that has a whole lot of nice things written in it.(anniversary)
Then copy it.
I'm just saying in case you have writer's block. Anything hand written from you scores big.
