Now I have a some questions for you.

Do you believe in the bill of rights?

I every situation or only in certain situations?

I believe IN DEPTH discussion is exactly what we need. However it happens. IMO there are not enough specifics and too much vagueness that causes confusion.

Yes I believe in the Bill Of Rights.

Yes I believe in all situations- that are relevant to the times.

No I don't think it would have been written exactly the same way if it were written today. They didn't have to worry about world destruction, automatic weapons, grenade lauchers and missiles.

On the other hand, you do have a point with the "No Knock" warrants. I think too many cops are trigger happy. There are too many with "little man syndromes".

If you don't like the tsa. Don't fly. There is no right to fly in the bill of rights. Minor inconvenience instead of having a plane flown into a building. I have been padded down twice ( once my own fault for bringing a too big bottle of fluid). I did not get mad or upset. They are doing their job. I even joked to the tsa agent after the pat down "that now he owed me dinner".

Thank you AGAIN, for being a perfect illustration of my link on Chain of Obedience. Because "just following orders" has worked out so well for humanity. That you believe you are at fault for bringing a too big bottle on an airplane makes me sad for you.
Freedom of movement is a HUMAN RIGHT based in Natural Law not the Bill of Rights.
There is no constitutional authority to prohibit my right to travel or even for a dept. like the TSA.

Thanks Battle,

On the your agreeing about the no knock warrants, I will consider that a small victory in this really big discussion!

I gotta go make dinner! Have a great Saturday night. :D

Weak rebuttal. Nothing about just following orders. Just common sense. You can drive, walk take a train, but to get on a plane you have to go through a metal detector. Sorry. Not a big deal nor a real infringement of my rights.

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

This just in...

Report details accusations of rape, drug smuggling within L.A. County Sheriff’s Department
January 2,2014

Deputies accused of rape, smuggling heroin into a lockup, stealing money from a narcotics bust, smuggling undocumented immigrants and even using a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department helicopter for unofficial business.

This was just some of the misconduct investigated — and corroborated — by the Office of Independent Review in a recently issued report.

2013: A great year for scandal, incompetence and corruption

Meanwhile the Gaurdian reports:

US law enforcement deaths fall to 50-year low, report finds
In 2013, 111 officers died, with more widespread use of body armour and officers wearing seatbelts credited for decline...

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/d ... 0-year-low
The preliminary data shows that traffic accidents were the leading cause of officer death, with 46 killed.
Forty-two percent of the officers killed in auto crashes the last couple of years were not wearing their seatbelts.

Which sort of makes this report laughable...

Oh C'mon!! There is no absolute power here in the US. Absolute power does corrupt but it has to be absolute. You are giving the conspiracy theory traction. Whether it's yours or not.
