What I miss about RWR is that he didn't pander to either party. He truly put country/state first. He made decisions that were unpopular, but he didn't flip flop on his positions. I remember the first thing that happened after he was inaugurated, Iran released the hostages. Iran knew he meant business and he would bomb them into submission. The Iranians toyed with Carter because he was a weak leader. Carter gave the terrorist confidence that they could hurt the USA that continues to haunt us today.
