Haven't seen any games myself. However, here is the first poll of the year that I have seen.

It's way too early to know anything much but I'll make a few observations in 5A region 3.

19-5A seems loaded. Tomball and Magnolia schools are used to making the playoffs and I think Brenham should be a little better.

Barbers Hill lost a lot but returns plenty so easy to see why they started out #1. Add in former Buda Hays coach who spurned Rosenburg Terry over the summer (good move) and they will compete for another region title.

Ridge Point and Santa Fe should should rule 23-5A. Freshman pitcher for RP should help them although they lost some bats. Program seems loaded. SF's sophomore pitcher had a great year last year.

I think 24-5A will be very strong. Angleton could compete for a region title if they have pitching. I think everyone else is back. Another strong program. George Ranch has almost everyone coming back and adds in two transfers going to D1 schools. Foster loses their great hitter/pitcher Clark and has a new coach but I think they will be a solid playoff team. Lamar has a lefty sophomore pitcher that gave Santa Fe a bit of a scare in the playoffs last year.

Looking forward to things starting up and seeing more posts on the Bucket!

Hey little buddy, look what I found.. Looks like your team already moved out of the top 10?? What's up with that? Other day I looked at this and it has totally changed.

Look for Deer Park or Bellaire to roll in Region 3. Alvin may surprise some people. Pearland looks strong as always but seems they always stumble somewhere along the way. It's a mystery really because they've got the talent.

Big Tournment in Bryan this week. Will get a chance to see some of the teams that are rated and not rated. If the rain will stay away. Would like to see the Woodlands, Kingwood, Deer Park from the Houston area Play.

Semi's were Oak Ridge over Brazoswood and Atascocita over Birdville.
