We are a 12 u team in the Houston area and in our age division on this side of Texas there are three teams that are outstanding!

Spring Sting
Deer Park TPS
Spring Klein Velocity

All three are loaded with very talented ballplayers and can compete with any team in the state. There are other quality teams in the Houston area, but those in my opinion stand out.

Is there someone that can give us 14U, 16U and 18 Gold? Just curious.

14u teams in S. Texas that I would consider the best are as follows (and no my DD does not play for one of these teams

Texas Peppers - without a doubt, I've seen this team play MANY times. Every team is beatable and I've seen this one lose but not very often.

MC Magic - Solid team with all kinds of talent at every position.

GT Shockers - Great team with big bats and some speed. Very good pitching also.

I would say these are the top three that I can think of.

14U in South Texas - one man's opinion in no order :

Texas Hawks ('94)
Tazers ('93)
Diamond Dusters ('93)
Hit a Way ('94)
Texas Peppers ('94)
Texas Trouble ('93)
Crossfire ('94)
MC Magic ('94)
Triple Threat ('94)
Jets ('94)
When asked how many times she hit Tiger with the golf club, she responded, "I'm not sure...put me down for an 8!

14U in South Texas - one man's opinion in no order :

Texas Hawks ('94) Play with a lot of heart. High school coaches doing a great job with a new team. Lots of ex-Peppers here.

Tazers ('93) Quality team. Mostly '93 girls that hit the ball hard and very smart on the bases.

Diamond Dusters ('93) Been good for a while now. Nothing changes this year. Solid team at all positions. Probably not going to play 14U for long.

Hit a Way ('94) Quality team with a few holes to fill. Needs pitching in a bad way.

Texas Peppers ('94) Cream of the crop in 14U. Pitching is their strongest suit. Best 14U pitchers in the entire state of Texas, not just South. Solid everywhere, pitching outstanding.

Texas Trouble ('93) Same as Dusters. Been good for a while. Do not think they will stay in 14U either.

Crossfire ('94) Solid team with solid coaching. Few holes to fill, but seem to get it done.

MC Magic ('94) Always a threat. Still some consistency issues, but can jump up and bite you any time.

Triple Threat ('94) Lots of talent on this team, but they do not seem to play with a lot of heart or desire.

Jets ('94) Solid core of players. A few weaknesses but nothing that just jumps out at you.

GT Shockers ('94) Pitching is what makes the world go around for them. They rely on their two big guns to hold the opponent down until they can score a run or two. Solid team overall, but need a few upgrades.

Rex,

I give credit to the Texas Peppers, solid team great pitching. Best 14's in Texas that a hugh statement.

The pitchers from Batbusters (Montoya) and Texas Fusion (Sidwell) could compete with them any given day. There are other 14U teams with pitchers here that could compete with them as well, I just listed teams with 94's pitcher.

I agree - it is impossible to know for sure which of these teams - and I am sure there are others that aren't even listed here.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.... and hey - that's the fun part in all of this anyways!!!
