Couple of our players are raving about the new CF5. Good or no good? Whats the difference between the 4 and the 5?

Easy answer ......

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

The barrel on the 5 is one inch longer and they are hotter.

My older DD has a CF4 and a CF5. She prefers the CF4 (perhaps it is broken in better), so she gave the CF5 to my younger DD who has gone from a RT to a Miken Rain and now the CF5. (always the hand-me-downs) After about a month of usage, she is working into the CF5 pretty well. The older daughter still likes the CF4 (both are 33/23) and they both have about the same hits as I got them about 3 weeks apart.

Hitting pop flys to the kids, I think I like the CF4 better, but the distance is about the same.
