I have to agree with play4fun on this one. The team to beat in Central TX is the Blaze Red. Good Pitching, Good defense and powerful hitting.
The Flame Throwers have 2 real good pitchers but their outfield is weak and the bottom of their line up doesn't perform at the plate.
The Bombers have a couple of pretty good pitchers and good defense but like the Flame Throwers they only have 4-5 real hitters.
The Stix has a good pitcher but their defense is shaky and they dont get enough hits from the bottom half of the line up.
The Austin Storm does not have strong enough pitching to hide the holes in their defense and like the Bombers and Flame Throwers they lack hitting throughout their line up.
The 96 Bombers are a young team with one good pitcher but not much else. They are forced to play alot of small ball and run to win. Teams with a solid infield will usually beat this team.
The 96 Austin Stars are young and still developing but not a contender.

Who started this poll???? A poll asking who's the "BEST" 12u team......and you leave out the "BEST" team.

Gotta agree with the rest. We played the RR Blaze in Hoston. Great team. Needs to be in the poll. They would get my vote.

Why no love for the Groove 95? If I'm not mistaken, they were at top 5 finisher at ASA "A" Nationals at 10U. Also, I heard they beat the Glory 95 in a friendly at one time. Can't confirm that, though.

The friendly that we all attended was in 2006..... Nationals was in 2006.... they broke up at the end of 2006.... and their ace pitcher/hitter went to R.R. Blaze in 2007 and.... this is now 12U.

They are making a comeback this year and have good coaches but they are not quite there yet.

BTW....who cares if they beat Glory 95 in a "FRIENDLY"..... in 2006.

Thanks for the update play4fun. You're absolutely right; who cares? I extend the Glory 95 warm regards and well wishes for a successful 08 season: respect, Bro!
