IMO there's no such thing as "America's team". But if the qualifier is which team has the most fans worldwide then I'm guessing it's the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Them squeelers would love to be America's team but it's just not so...

You've got a lot more things to worry about right now my friend. :o

"Turn out the lights, the party's over" - Cowboys season is over.

Ted Madden gets credit for proclaiming it when the 'boys were 2-0 (http://www.wfaa.com/story/sports/nfl/cowboys/2015/09/20/madden-cowboys-season-all-but-over-despite-2-0-record/72540176/).

Well that makes both of you wrong. It's still not over. Technically it will end or not end in a few weeks towards the end of the season. That is not proclaiming anything. You know that, so you are just being belligerent against America's team. Shame on you.
On the other hand, Ted was just wrong. He can't help it.

Did you just find out Dallas managed to win their last game? It merely delayed the inevitable...

Technically - are you serious? LMAO Technically their season isn't over until after they play their last game...

Dandy Don started singing before the clock ran out when the outcome was obvious. I did the same thing...

They say that all good things must end
Call it a night, the party's over
And tomorrow starts the same old thing again

Dandy Don played for Mount Vernon HS and SMU before signing with an EXPANSION TEAM.

The only people that call the Cowboys "America's Team" are delusional Cowboy fans. They only believe that because some doofus at ESPN hinted at that notion in the 70's when they were winning under Landry.

Pittsburgh and Green Bay earn that moniker now.

No Cowboy fan here, but ESPN did not even exist until Sept. 1979, and I'm pretty sure the cowgirls were being called America's Team in the early to mid 70s. And the Steelers did rule the 70s.

According to NFL Films (http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/0ap3000000444613/Top-10-Nicknames-Show-America-s-Team..

The nickname originated with the team's 1978 highlight film, where the narrator (John Facenda) opens with the following introduction:

They appear on television so often that their faces are as familiar to the public as presidents and movie stars. They are the Dallas Cowboys, "America's Team".

The video also says prior to that, they were Next Year's Champs...

Why don't you just admit that you and Ted never expected the East to be so weak? Dandy Don would have never started singing that song until they loose at least one more...That could happen today though, so warm the vocal chords up just in case...
