2014 18U Teams

by feedman1971 » Mon Aug 18, 2014 2:57 pm

Has there been a lot of movement amongst players on the 18U Gold level? Looks like Bombers have picked up some well recognized faces from other Gold teams.

Really, I wonder what the reason for that is? Parents not like the former coach's corrctive criticizm, grass greener on the other field. Sure can't be for a shorter drive to practice. Can't wait to hear what the answer to this will be.

Not a whole lot of difference between Imperial Park and Sta-Mo fields.

Probably shorter drive for some. If not, then it would add maybe 5 minutes to their drive. I can't imagine someone seriously considering the potential extra 5 minutes as a reason the new team wouldn't be a good fit.

Hmmm!!! Five minute drive and better fit. Sounds a little suspect. Can't be that simple.

Maybe being sponsored by Worth has it's perks. After game snacks must be awesome!

Duh!, but they don't practice with Scott's team in Seguin.
They will practice exactly where I said, which is 7.69 miles down the road according to MapQuest.

Awesome. Nothing like creating cliques to promote team harmony.

You 6 practice at Sta-Mo, you 3 practice in New Braunfels and the remaining 8 or 9 of us will practice in Seguin. See you at the next tournament.

Now the team pay dirt left is combining with a team out of Dallas with half the team practicing there the other half in Houston .

Is all of that really necessary? Is the chance of winning really that important?

And dont tell me it isn't about the pursuit of winning because if it wasn't there are 20 teams in Houston or Dallas to play on.

Can't see how anyone could have gotten that impression. I haven't said that I left a team. Just have seen others in the area leaving and joining other organizations is all. Simply an observation nothing more hope all the young lady's have a prosperous and enjoyable time on their new teams.
