Agreed. And somewhat surprising, since his daughter is a fairly high level player, he seems to know almost nothing about the game. And i thought I heard him say he coached an 18U team.

Sadly, it appears ESPN still thinks it needs a "name" baseball player to draw a bigger audience.

Which is odd PairofAces, since Women's Softball routinely outperforms MLB on ESPN. That's the dirty little secret that ESPN doesn't want anyone to know.

@bethmowins can someone explain to @gehrig38 he's not doing color at a baseball game. It's SOFTBALL, it's a different game.

And for what it's worth, I think Beth Mowins is one of the best up and coming play by play people in the biz. She does a great job with Football in the fall.
