Not to hijack this post but they won the tournament by, from what I was told, run ruling the Crush '02. They squeaked into the championship game by beating the Gators '02 3-2 on a game winning double with time expired. Gators lefty hung one out there at the wrong time.
Good D and average pitching. Strength is in hitting. Once they lock in they have some good hitters.

Looking at the Pools, I see the 14U Indiana magic gold 99 team. They may call themselves that but I believe they are the Indiana Magic out of Lafayette, correct?

No its not the same team. None of the Magic teams in Lafayette call themselves GOLD.

I coach the Indiana Magic Gold 14U team (Clays Organization) and my team is not playing in the Crush Classic. So if indeed this team is the one out of Lafayette and the Pool assignments show correctly how this team registered, then it looks like the Lafayette Magic has changed what they call themselves.

My bad. This is the Indiana Magic gold 14u Spring team. Put together for the non-freshmen. I wasn't aware they were in this tourney.
