Second That. Great job Edge 01. How did all of the other divisions go? It looked like there were two divisions of almost every age group.

I think the 12u "B" went:
1. Indy Edge '02 (coming up from loser bracket and winning with the 'if necessary' game)
2. Chix
3. Shockers

So who is the better team from the indy dreams? Red or Navy? Saw who I thought was the red down at the crush classic and was very impressed with their hitting. Navy just went through the ASA State Games and won. Will see both at ASA South State next weekend but just wanted some Indianapolis opinions?

Red is better - at least that was our experience.

We had a 12U game today against the Indiana Smash. They were stealing our signs to the catcher. They would say the batter's first name when we called a fastball, and the batter's last name when we called a change-up. We felt it was a real bush league move. I just wanted to warn others.

I would say do a better job of calling signs in. If you mixed it up you could use to you're advantage.

Not something we've had to worry about before. Just didn't want others to be caught by surprise like we were. It's not difficult to steal signs, but we'd rather the girls decide the game.

I like to think my DD can hit a little. I've asked her about this kind of stuff. Coaches calling out location, R2 signaling location, etc. She says she would rather just see the ball and react to it. She said she also likes a clear mind, she says all that input just clutters her mind.

While I suppose it's part of the game, I always figured if I did my part as a coach and we executed what we're suppose to do, it doesn't really matter what the other team does.

What team does your daughter play on softball27? I see that you changed your comment. It did say Red is far better. I would like to know how you feel that they are far better.
