Brownsburg Hires New Softball Coach

New Softball Coach Announced.....
The Brownsburg Community School Corporation Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of Keith Brown as Varsity Head Softball Coach last night.

Keith is a 25 year resident of Brownsburg and has coached young ladies in the community in both softball and volleyball. Keith believes in developing strong fundamental skills essential to be a successful softball players, teammate and ambassador for Brownsburg athletics.

Currently, Keith is employed by Eli Lilly and Company as a Research Scientist, providing administrative and technical leadership for an analytical laboratory team.

Keith attended Marian University where he played baseball and obtained a BS in Biology. Keith and his wife, have four daughters.

The Board also approved Katy Steele, Brownsburg Alumni, Class of 2003. Katy was a highly decorated softball player for Eastern Illinois University. She still is a Career Top 10 Record Holder for - Hits, Doubles, Home Runs, RBI's, Total Bases, Walks and At Bats. She also was named Academic All District in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Katy will serve as the Varsity Assistant.

The BHS Athletic Department is thrilled to have Keith and Katy lead our softball program into the future. There are many exciting times ahead of us.

Finally - maybe now these girls will have a chance. No more swimming instead of practicing on nice spring days.
