Rebels took 4 games in Terre Haute this weekend to win the THS Bash. Some good teams there, and its a very well run tourney.

Senior Shelby Hursh had a good opening game for Tipton v Taylor. No hitter with 20k's in 3-0 win. She also hit a 3 run homer.

I see Mishawaka Marian is back atop the 3A poll, very well deserving, though if Penn doesn't sub in the 5th inning and give up 5 unearned runs (7 total for the game) in a 10-4 loss last Saturday, it could have gotten interesting. Marian is a great hitting club from top to bottom that can beat you with the long ball or short game you to death and their pitching hasn't missed a beat after losing a 4 year starter to graduation.

Not sure why South Bend Riley isn't getting any love, they were 29-2 last year and finished #1 in the regular season, are 4-0 this year with 3 mercy rule games, and only garner 12 votes? Granted they haven't faced the toughest schedule yet, but still. I guess it is a COACHES poll and we all know how we feel about some of the high school coaches out there. Maybe they can earn some respect next weekend at the Carmel Invitational where they'll face Carmel, Munster and McCutcheon.

Nice to see Rochester at #1 in 2A. I don't think either of the Holland girls would ever think of themselves as a pitcher, but they are doing what they need to do for the team and doing it well.

Lakewood Park Chrisian is the real deal in 1A. They beat 4A #6 Northridge over the weekend 6-5 and I still feel Northridge is the best team in the North Central part of the state.

Just glad to finally get some decent weather and be able to get some games in. Good luck to everyone and enjoy the time with your DD.

Not a Dad....just someone who has coached her and thought it was a notable game. If you knew her dad you would know that he would never promote his own kid.
